Position Summary:

Service

Assumes responsibility for daily operations of staffing in Medical Critical Care.

a. Answers the telephones courteously and promptly.

b. Distributes staff mail within established time frame.

c. All office equipment is maintained in working order.

d. All office information and records are secure and remain confidential.

Efficiency and Effectiveness

Assists the Nurse Manager.

a. Interviews are scheduled within reasonable timeframe.

b. Nurse Manager's calendar is current and all appointments noted.

Assists with Daily Staffing Activities.

a. Makes phone calls as requested.

b. Appropriately receives and relays messages regarding staffing.

c. Nurse Manager and Charge Nurses are informed of staffing changes.

d. Staffing sheets are made daily.

Maintains Kronos for Medical Critical Care staff.

a. Enters payroll information to assure appropriate payment to employees.

b. Employee's concerns regarding their pay are coordinated with Payroll and resolved.

Maintains One-Staff for Supplemental Resources.

a. Schedules are entered accurately into One-Staff as they are submitted.

b. Changes are entered accurately into One-Staff as they occur.

Maintains records for Medical Critical Care.

a. Assists with updating employee's files 1) licensure verification, 2) adding contents as directed.

b. Hours worked for Registry staff are accurately maintained and available.

Prepares correspondence and reports.

a. Letters are typed with minimal errors and mailed to appropriate person.

b. Reports and statistical information regarding staffing is accurately prepared and distributed as requested.

Quality and Safety

Complies with established departmental policies and procedures: CQI/QA programs.

a. Complies with Mandatory Education program requirements.

b. Adheres to attendance policy.
