Administrative Support Manager Legal Operations Location : New York, NY (Hybrid)
Salary : 155-175K OR Temp to Perm (80hr to start)
Must Have the Following:- 8+ years of administrative management experience in a law firm or professional services environment

Responsibilities
Our growing client is seeking an experienced Administrative Support Manager to oversee the daily operations of a high-performing Administrative Support team in its New York office. This hybrid leadership role is responsible for driving operational excellence, managing staff, improving processes, and ensuring exceptional service to attorneys and internal clients.
Key responsibilities include:
- Lead the daily operations of the Administrative Support department.
- Manage staffing assignments, workloads, scheduling, attendance, overtime, and utilization.
- Recruit, interview, hire, onboard, and develop Administrative Support professionals.
- Coach employees through ongoing performance management, mentoring, and professional development.
- Collaborate with leadership to develop departmental initiatives and improve operational efficiency.
- Partner with Human Resources on employee relations, performance improvement, and disciplinary matters when needed.
- Develop and deliver training programs that support employee growth and operational consistency.
- Create, implement, and improve departmental policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Forecast departmental budgets, monitor expenses, and prepare financial reports.
- Ensure timely, accurate delivery of administrative services while maintaining exceptional customer service.
- Promote collaboration across administrative teams and other business services departments.
- Maintain confidentiality while exercising sound judgment on sensitive matters.
- Support strategic planning initiatives and recommend operational improvements aligned with organizational goals.
- Perform additional management responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements- Bachelor's degree required.
- Minimum of 8 years of administrative management experience within a law firm or professional services organization.
- At least 4 years of direct supervisory experience leading administrative teams.
- Strong understanding of law firm administration and administrative support best practices.
- Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and departmental financial planning.
- Demonstrated success recruiting, coaching, mentoring, and developing employees.
- Proven ability to resolve conflicts and build strong working relationships across all organizational levels.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and project management skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
- High attention to detail with exceptional problem-solving skills.
- Ability to prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound independent judgment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and the ability to learn new systems.
