Position Summary

The Administrative Support Specialist provides comprehensive administrative and operational support to multiple divisions and programs within the Department of Psychiatry, including the ACCESS Mental Health Program. This role partners with program and departmental leadership to support the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of research, clinical, educational, and administrative initiatives. The position also plays a key role in coordinating activities, streamlining processes, and monitoring the progress and effectiveness of ongoing programs to ensure alignment with departmental goals and organizational priorities.

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements

High school diploma or equivalency and one year of related office experience; or equivalent combination of training and experience.

Management Preferences
  • Experience managing multiple tasks, projects, and competing priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while maintaining a high level of organization and attention to detail.
  • Experience developing and implementing administrative processes or systems to improve efficiency, coordination, and program effectiveness.
  • Experience in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience coordinating complex calendars, meetings, and program activities across multiple stakeholders.
