Administrative Support Specialist (PT)

Location: Hauppauge, NY | Schedule: Part-Time 12/hours | Status: Non-Exempt |Salary Range: $20.34/hour | Schedule: Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday

The Opportunity

Join the Family and Children's Association (FCA). We are looking for an enthusiastic and organized Administrative Assistant to bring their energy and detail-focused skills to our dynamic Clinical department.

Responsibilities

  • Greet and assist clients, visitors, and staff in a professional and courteous manner
  • Schedule, confirm, and coordinate client appointments
  • Answer phone calls, respond to inquiries, and direct communications appropriately
  • Maintain accurate client records and update electronic health record (EHR) systems
  • Process intake forms, billing collections, documentation, and other administrative paperwork as assigned
  • Support providers and staff with administrative tasks and workflow coordination
  • Complete all agency, program, and regulatory reports, data entry, correspondence, and required documentation by established deadlines
  • Function as an integral member of the interdisciplinary treatment team and participate in team meetings and in-service trainings as scheduled
  • Maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA and agency policies and procedures
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned in support of clinic operations
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent required; associate degree or certification in medical office administration preferred
  • Minimum of one (1) year of experience in a healthcare, outpatient clinic, or medical office setting
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English speaking preferred
