Transaction Processor Associate II (Hybrid)

Location: East Hartford, CT 06108
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
Pay Rate: Up to $20.69 per hour
Assignment Dates: July 1, 2026 – August 21, 2026
Employment Type: Full-Time, Temporary Assignment

Position Overview

The Transaction Processor Associate II reports directly to a Supervisor and plays a critical role in supporting programs that provide additional financial assistance to families during the summer months. This position involves researching, analyzing, and updating consumer information across multiple systems while maintaining high standards of accuracy, productivity, and customer service.

Qualified candidates will bring a positive attitude, strong attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Process and submit denial letters accurately while adhering to established procedures and quality standards.

  • Research, analyze, and update consumer information using multiple systems and applications.

  • Screen consumers by entering and verifying information through third-party applications.

  • Meet or exceed daily productivity standards for assigned tasks.

  • Maintain quality standards as outlined in the Quality Assurance Plan (QAP).

  • Communicate professionally with internal teams and external stakeholders through verbal and written correspondence.

  • Develop and maintain a strong understanding of departmental procedures and operating systems.

  • Complete assigned work within required timeframes and contractual guidelines.

  • Demonstrate professionalism, dependability, and a positive attitude in all interactions.

  • Adhere to attendance expectations and workplace policies.

  • Support the customer service team when needed by assisting with inbound inquiries from potential and existing program beneficiaries.

  • Serve as an initial point of contact for questions related to program services.

  • Accurately document all consumer interactions and activities within designated systems.

  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

Candidates must meet at least two (2) of the following qualifications:

  • Associate degree or higher from an accredited college or university.

  • Minimum of six (6) months of experience in a call center or customer-facing support environment.

  • Experience processing and verifying eligibility information.

Required Skills & Abilities

  • Ability to type at least 40 words per minute.

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize work and adapt to changing demands.

  • Proficiency with computer systems and the ability to learn new software applications quickly.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision following initial training.

  • Excellent attention to detail with the ability to identify and correct errors.

  • Ability to maintain productivity while delivering high-quality work.

  • Strong research skills and the ability to navigate multiple applications simultaneously.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Demonstrated customer service skills, including empathy and conflict resolution.

  • Ability to remain professional and composed when assisting frustrated consumers.

  • Ability to work a full-time schedule in a structured, team-oriented environment.

Work Environment

  • Professional office setting.

  • Hybrid work arrangement.

  • Standard business hours: Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM.

  • No weekend work required.

Additional Requirements

  • Must successfully pass an 8-panel drug screening.

  • Must successfully pass a Healthcare background check with education and employment verification.

  • Weekly timesheet submission required.
