The Administrator On Duty is accountable for proactively coordinating the activities of admission, discharge and transfer of patients thereby supporting throughput in the facility. Provides direction to department leaders to ensure safe levels of staffing while maintaining efficient hospital throughput. Serves as a resource for all staff and is able to apply competent knowledge and skills to achieve quality outcomes. Provides an interim leadership including but not limited to crisis management intervention as a representative of hospital administration. Channels pertinent patient/employee/department information to appropriate internal and external sources.

Manages patient placement and ADT processes; collaborates with teams to optimize care and resources.
Quality & Evidence-Based Practice
Applies research to improve patient throughput and identifies quality improvement opportunities.
Team Culture & Communication
Fosters inclusive, respectful work culture, models accountability and effective communication.
Leadership & Advocacy
Supports staff and administration in resolving issues; engages in professional and advocacy efforts.
BS/BSN required.
If BS degree not in nursing, a Master's or higher degree in Nursing is required.
CNL/MSN preferred.
Minimum of 3 years clinical experience required with relevant leadership experience preferred.
Must maintain a solid/strong performer rating on annual performance review.
Registered Nurse.
Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:
Current licensure as a Registered Professional Nurse either in the state where the facility is located or in a state covered by a licensure compact agreement with the state where the facility is located. ACLS preferred. BLS/CPR required based on AHA standards that include both a didactic and skills demonstration component within 30 days of hire

Current licensure either in the state where the facility is located or, if the facility is in a state covered by the multistate Nursing Licensure Compact (NLC agreement, a multistate license issued by a participating NLC state. Hires and current employees working on an out-of-state NLC license who later change their residency to the state where the facility is also located will have 60 days upon changing their residency to apply for licensure within that state.
