    Description

    Under the direction of the Manager and guidance of The Private Bank Service & Support Manager, this position is responsible for delivering exceptional customer experiences. This position is responsible for accurately and efficiently processing transactions as well as ensuring customers are connected with their Relationship Manager and/or assigned Administrator to meet their needs. This position is also responsible for educating customers about the different product and service solutions as well as alternate channels of banking.

    • High school diploma or G.E.D. or equivalent work experience.
    • Minimum 2 years of teller or cash handling experience. Experience in the banking or financial services field is preferred. Extensive knowledge of general banking products and services including, but not limited to digital banking, consumer, small business and commercial deposit products, consumer and commercial loans, and retirement accounts. Knowledge of trust and investment products and services preferred.
    • Demonstrated proficiency with personal computers in a networked environment and Microsoft applications (Outlook, Internet Explorer, Word, and PowerPoint) or similar software. Knowledge of or ability to use Bank software and systems.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; experience in servicing high-net worth individuals. Demonstrates ability and desire to advance skills in various areas. Self-motivated with high level of initiative and able to work in high pressure environment with minimal or no supervision. Adapts quickly and willing to embrace change. Able to provide own transportation and ability to commute and arrive at intended destination in a timely manner and/or as required. Able to work flexible hours including holidays, weekends and evenings as needed or assigned.

    • Helps lead the overall client experience in The Private Bank lobbies. Provides quality service in interacting directly with clients to process their financial transactions including but not limited to: cashing checks and withdrawals, accepting deposits and payments, issuing cashier's checks and processing wire transfers. Balances individual cash. Performs duties relating to Vault, including opening and closing the vault; buying and selling currency/coin. Uses teller cash recyclers and performs basic trouble-shooting functions. May open and close accounts. Assists clients with other account maintenance functions such as account title changes, ordering debit and check cards, performing address changes, etc.
    • Provides centralized support for Administrators assigned to a Relationship Manager. Support may include onboarding (e.g.: preparing and submitting Client Acceptance Forms, reviewing Blue360 relationships), reviewing and correcting monthly TPB Audit reports, maintaining cash manager accounts including processing the Sweep Authorization forms, mailing new account disclosures, application disclosures, appraisals and other communication and notices pertaining to credit facilities, and pulling credit reports. May be asked to obtain a notarial commission.
    • Exercises prudent and judicious use of signing authority within authorized limits to approve daily work. Supports in the administration and adherence to regulatory and compliance requirements, policies and procedures related to bank deposit accounts and credit facilities. Complies with all consumer laws and regulations to include but not limited to Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), Customer Identification (CIP), Information Security Protection, etc. and adheres to all policies and procedures to ensure regulatory requirements are met. Adheres to Bank of Hawaii Employee Code of Business Conduct and Ethics. Actively participates in all required bank-wide and business unit training. Participates in internal audits, FRB BSA Safety and Soundness Examination, Regulation O and SOX audits as required. Keeps informed of all current bank policies and procedures.
    • Performs all other miscellaneous responsibilities and duties as assigned.
