Work Experience

• 4 years of applicable experience in:
  • Workstation support
  • Server support
  • Application support
• Experience must include:
  • Software troubleshooting
  • Hardware troubleshooting

Work Arrangement

• Onsite role
• Contract-to-Hire (C2)

• 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
• No travel required
• Occasional overtime
• Rare weekend work (as needed)

Team Information

• End User Platform Services team (11 members)
• Manages ~18,000 physical workstation endpoints and remote solutions including:
  • Citrix
  • VDI
  • VPN
  • Intune

Required Technologies

• A Certification (minimum required)
• High technical knowledge of:
  • Microsoft Windows OS
  • Group Policy
  • Active Directory
• Programming/Scripting:
  • Python
  • JavaScript
  • TypeScript
• Build pipeline tools:
  • GitHub Actions and/or Jenkins
• Strong PC hardware and troubleshooting knowledge
• Intune device management concepts
• MDM concepts
• Azure Active Directory

Nice to Have

• Junior or Full Stack Developer experience
• Experience with more than one programming language
• Experience integrating external APIs (especially REST/HTTP APIs)
• Familiarity with:
  • Splunk
  • Application Insights
• PowerShell or automation concepts
• Citrix Cloud or XenDesktop concepts
• Software/image deployment tools:
  • Intune
  • BigFix
  • SCCM / ECD
• Good documentation and technical writing skills

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Modernize development pipeline for workstation and Citrix platforms
• Perform scripting and build test code
• Manage:
  • Source control
  • Deployment tools
• Support automation initiatives
• Assist with Citrix, VDI, and Zero Touch projects

Daily Activities

• Attend daily standups:
  • Yesterday’s progress
  • Today’s tasks
  • Roadblocks
• Review:
  • Azure Boards
  • ServiceNow for new work and issues
• Collaborate with technical leads on assigned projects
• Design, develop, integrate, and test pipeline solutions and APIs (if junior/full stack dev) across:
  • Front end
  • Back end
  • Citrix
  • Workstations
  • Intune
  • BigFix
  • Splunk
  • ServiceNow

Operational Support

• Troubleshoot and monitor network printers (MFPs)
• Troubleshoot and monitor Citrix XenDesktop
• Provide technical guidance to Workstation Support teams
• Configure, update, and document:
  • Monthly image build standards
  • Using BigFix OSD or Intune Autopilot
• Test and maintain:
  • Hardware seed units in imaging lab
• Document:
  • Configurations
  • Standards
  • Build procedures
• Research:
  • Hardware standards
  • Performance testing tools
