Hours: 8-5pm, M-F
Summary:
This position will support a robotics company in the automotive field. Job responsibilities will include working with a team of technicians (RICOH team) to troubleshoot and perform service and preventive maintenance on the customers' robot that they have developed. This will require hands-on work and regular use of a computer. It can be a physical job some days. This position may also require assisting in building and assembling parts to keep the robot operational.

- Having hands-on electromechanical experience is a must and auto technician experience is a plus as well as computer skills. If they have robotics experience would be great.
- Having familiarity with Linux is a plus but not needed. Knowledge of troubleshooting and diagnostics of electromechanical systems is required.
- Physical requirements may include standing for extended periods of time.
- The contingent worker also may be required to push, pull, and lift objects; most of the time using carts or pallet jacks
- Driving: Yes, some driving in the area required
- The worksite location is 11 State Street, Woburn, MA and parking at the location is free.
- Requires excellent working knowledge of electro-mechanical devices, automation systems, and technology applications.
- Requires expert knowledge of assigned client automation systems.
- Skilled methodical approach to resolving problems.
- Possesses strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent customer service skills including the ability to follow up to ensure closure of issues.
- Skilled ability to read and comprehend written technical information in the form of site operations, technical manuals, and relevant publications.
- Degree from a vocational school or college with a focus in the Robotics, Mechanical or Electronics fields.
- Demonstrated ability to multi-task and prioritize many different projects and workloads. Ability to work independently.
- A degree of physical dexterity and must be able to stand for long periods of time.
- Ability to communicate effectively, (written and verbally) with peers, management, contractors, and vendors.
- Must be highly self-motivated, customer-centric, and focused to team success.
- Associate degree or 4 years apprenticeship or equivalent experience or training in the Robotics, Mechanical, Mechatronics, or Electrical fields.
- Serves as a role model and always exhibits professional appearance and behavior.
- Experience and proficiency in the following areas:
- Automated systems and software-based controls.
- Electrical and electronic principles.
- Technical skills including familiarity with Linux, Java, XML, SQL, and database administration.
- PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) programs.
- Industrial PC literacy.
- Degree from a vocational school or college with a focus in the Robotics, Mechanical or Electronics fields.
- Demonstrated ability to multi-task and prioritize many different projects and workloads.
- Ability to work independently.
- A degree of physical dexterity and must be able to stand for long periods of time.
