    Job Description

    Choate Rosemary Hall is hiring an Admission Administrative Assistant position to join our Admissions department. The Admission Administrative Assistant provides comprehensive administrative and customer service support to the Admission Office, including direct support to the Director of Financial Aid. This position:

    • serves as a welcoming and professional point of contact for prospective students, families, schools, consultants, and other constituents throughout the admission and financial aid processes.
    • responds to inquiries, manages communications, maintains applicant records and materials in Slate,
    • supports campus visits and admission events,
    • assists with decision-reply and enrollment processes,
    • and provides general administrative and project support to Admission Officers.

    The position also supports the Director of Financial Aid and Financial Aid Committee through data entry, maintenance and completion of Clarity applications, communication with new and returning financial aid students and families, and other administrative responsibilities related to the financial aid process.

    This is a full-time, hourly/non-exempt, year-round position scheduled to work Monday through Friday during first shift, 7.5 hours per day, with 1,950 annual budgeted hours.

    • The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent communication, organizational, customer service, and interpersonal skills, with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
    • The position requires proficiency with Microsoft Office and cloud-based systems, as well as prior experience working with database systems; experience with Slate and/or Clarity is preferred.
    • Candidates must be able to work independently and collaboratively, manage competing priorities, exercise sound judgment, problem-solve effectively, and maintain accuracy and professionalism in a fast-paced environment.
    • A high school diploma or equivalent is required; a college degree is preferred. Previous administrative and/or customer service experience is preferred.
