This entry-level role assists with recruitmentapplication review event coordination and daily admission operations to helpmaintain a responsive and student-centered process.The Admission Counselor represents The Cooper Union to prospective studentsfamilies educators and community partners. The role participates in on-campusand virtual recruitment and yield activities reviews applications and contributes toinstitutional enrollment goals.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES• Represent The Cooper Union at high school visits college fairs virtual programs andcommunity-based organization events across all three schools.• Support on-campus and virtual recruitment and yield initiatives.• Contribute to admission communications including email campaigns website updatessocial media content and print materials.• Coordinate the setup processing and secure return of Hometests and Studio Testsfacilitate faculty review processes.• Assist in the review of applications to ensure timely thoughtful and consistentevaluation aligned with institutional standards.• Support coordination and preparation of application materials for committee review.• Assist in planning organizing and executing major admission programs including OpenHouse Admitted Student Day and counselor-focused events.• Provide logistical and on-site support for recruitment and yield events.• Provide support and coverage at the Hub Admission Desk responding to inquiries fromprospective students and families in person by phone and via email.• Provide administrative support related to recruitment travel and events includingreimbursement processing.SKILLSREQUIREMENTS• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.• Experience with data management Slate preferred.• Ability to work evenings and weekends as needed particularly during peak admissionperiods.• Ability to work in a fast-paced dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.• Commitment to fostering an inclusive and equitable admission process and creating awelcoming environment for all prospective students.EDUCATION• Bachelors Degree.
