The Admissions Assistant supports the daily operations of the Office of Admission by ensuring the accurate and timely processing of admissions applications, applicant materials, and data within the university's Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system, Slate. This position serves as a key operational and customer service support role, assisting prospective students and families while maintaining the integrity and confidentiality of applicant records throughout the admissions cycle.
This is a full-time, temporary (6-month) role, not benefits-eligible, with the possibility of becoming permanent and benefits-eligible after the 6-month period. Schedule operating during standard business hours, Monday - Friday, 8:30am - 4:30pm. Additional flexibility may occasionally be required during peak admission periods and special events.

Principal Accountabilities
- Process undergraduate admissions applications and supporting materials accurately and efficiently within established timelines.
- Import, upload, and maintain applicant data and documents within Slate and other institutional systems.
- Review application records for completeness and accuracy; manage duplicate records, deferred applications, and record updates as needed.
- Perform assigned data imports and exports from external sources and assist with data integrity initiatives.
- Respond professionally and courteously to phone calls, emails, and general inquiries from prospective students, families, counselors, and campus partners.
- Assist with registration and coordination for campus visits, tours, and admission events.
- Support admission counselors and operations staff with communication and administrative processes throughout the admissions cycle.
- Utilize Slate queries and reporting tools to assist with operational reporting and data analysis.
- Maintain confidentiality of applicant information and ensure compliance with FERPA and university policies.
- Contribute to continuous process improvement initiatives and support other operational projects as assigned.
Qualifications
- Associate's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
- Previous administrative, customer service, or admissions-related experience preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Word.
- Experience with CRM systems such as Slate and student information systems such as Banner preferred.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively while maintaining a high level of professionalism and confidentiality.
