Job Title: Admissions Clerk

Primary Role and Purpose:
Working under the direction of the Campus Administrator, the Admissions Clerk performs clerical functions pertaining to student admission, and enrollment; performs a variety of clerical related tasks; and does other related work as required.
FLSA Classification: Non-Exempt
Education/Experience:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Associate's degree or completion of 48 college hours preferred.
- Minimum 2 years experience
- Bilingual in English and Spanish required
- Satisfactory background check

Responsibilities and Duties:
- Perform clerical activities and functions related to student admissions, enrollment, records, and/or transcripts requiring familiarity with policies and regulations.
- Accurately maintain student information received, and other paperwork and forms.
- Assist with the continued enhancement of the management of EPA by modeling appropriate behavior for and toward students and staff, and by displaying professional conduct at all times.
- Answer and direct incoming phone calls, take reliable messages, and direct calls to appropriate staff.
- Compose letters, memos, or reports of a routine or recurring nature, and special events or notification to parents and students.
- Maintain and update staff telephone directory as needed.
- Greet and direct visitors to the appropriate staff.
- Assist in the admissions process, verifying and copying of documents, preparing student files, forwarding documentation/information to appropriate personnel.
- Assist with schedule and setting up of orientation sessions.
- Maintain visitor log and issue visitor passes.
- Assist Campus Administrator with preparation for meetings as needed.
- Assist with preparation of materials for mailing(s), including preparing labels, stuffing envelopes, etc.
- Maintain /upkeep tracking system for faculty/staff sign in/out log.
- Assist in registrar and/or attendance clerk's responsibilities in their absence.
- Take pictures of all students for their student file.
- Monitor restrooms, collect hall passes from students; maintain sign-in log.
- Notify parents about student in event of emergency or as necessary and maintain student sign-out log.
- Assist with directing students to appropriate personnel if sent to office due to dress code violations/dress loan program.
- Assist with incoming mail, and packages/boxes and direct to appropriate department/personnel; maintain postage machine.
- Comply with campus/district policies and state and federal laws/regulations.
- Adhere to campus/district safety policies and procedures.
- Participate in staff development training programs to as needed.
- Participate with special events as assigned.
