Job DescriptionADMISSIONS COUNSELOR II (2) (T233988)The University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) seeks an ADMISSIONS COUNSELOR II to represent the institution to prospective undergraduate students and their families at college fairs, visits to high schools, on campus and off campus events in a lead capacity, and through regular telephone and email contact.The Admission Coordinator II scholarships coordinator is a full-time staff member who reports to the Director of Undergraduate Scholarships in the Division of Undergraduate Admissions and Scholarships at UAB. This individual will provide primary support to scholarship-eligible current students, including appeals, deferrals, scholarship renewals, and other specialized situations. The scholarships coordinator will award scholarships in BSMART (university scholarship system), process external scholarships received, be the point of contact for questions from current students regarding scholarships, and represent the Scholarships Office.Performing other duties as assigned in general support of the Scholarships Office is expected.QualificationsBachelor's degree and two (2) years of related experience required. Work experience may NOT substitute for education requirement.
