The Admissions Officer II is a member of the UF MBA Admissions team responsible for lead cultivation, answering prospective student questions, coordinating and conducting interviews with PMBA applicants, and providing feedback to the PMBA admissions committee. This role assists in extensive prospect outreach to maximize program interest and is responsible for recruiting high-quality students to the Warrington College of Business’s MBA programs. He/She manages and executes email and outgoing phone call campaigns to high-level prospects, steers lead generation, and handles inquiry follow up, and website bookings. The Admissions Officer II supports recruitment efforts on nights and weekends with virtual and in-person graduate student fairs and virtual information sessions. Periodically, this role will also assist with coffee chats or various in-market events. The incumbent must possess exceptional organizational skills, be able to multitask at a high level, be highly motivated and dedicated.

Master’s degree in an appropriate area; or a bachelor’s degree in an appropriate area and two years of relevant experience.

Job Description:

Recruitment and Candidate Sourcing – Conducts events including but not limited to on-campus events, off-site information sessions, corporate education fairs, MBA fairs, open houses, alumni events, MBA Forums, and World MBA tour, prospective student campus tours etc.  Displays charisma, leadership, strong communication, tactical selling skills.  Deigns and deploys online information sessions via Zoom, or similar technology. Responsible for interpreting and abiding by admissions regulations and policies. Conduct high-quality prospective phone calls. Respond to emails in the Florida MBA inbox. Assist with prospect selection for high tier events, open houses, and other events that require pre-screening.

Admissions Activities – Assists in reviewing PMBA applications and initial screening of Professional MBA applicants. Facilitates with the scheduling and execution of candidate interviews for the PMBA Admissions Committee. Follow-up with applicants about missing application materials. Serves as a connector between the Admissions Committee and applicants on decisions.

Admissions Events – The Admissions Officer oversees the design and implementation of MBA Recruitment activities and event planning. Under general supervision assists in the planning, organization, implementation and assessment of MBA Admissions events. Collaborates with Director of Admissions and the entire MBA team on event coordination and facilitation.

Other Duties – Projects, deliverables, or reports assigned from the Director of Admissions and UF MBA Program Administration.

Expected Salary:

$48,000 - $52,000

Required Qualifications:

Master’s degree in an appropriate area; or a bachelor’s degree in an appropriate area and two years of relevant experience.

Preferred:
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills including strong oral presentation skills and poise
  • High levels of energy, motivation, and organization
  • Professional presence to support relationship building with all key MBA Program, Warrington College of Business and industry stakeholders
  • Experience working in academic administration and previous collaboration with academic personnel
  • An MBA or master’s degree with at least two to five years of direct experience in recruiting or sales and proven relationship selling skills with a strong knowledge base of MBA curriculum and general business
  • Experience in event planning
  • Good diplomacy skills to be an effective facilitator within UF MBA Admissions and Student Affairs Staff and for building positive relationships with students, alumni, and applicants
  • Self-motivated
  • Willing to work any level in the organization
  • Pro-active problem solver, seeking to identify and solve problems independently
