Position Overview: The Admissions Outside Reader is a part-time position that plays a key role in the selection of the College's first-year class. The Admissions Outside Reader will be trained to read admissions applications for Bryn Mawr College, and a preference will be given to candidates with experience reading applications in a highly selective college or university environment at the undergraduate level.

Position Responsibilities:

• Complete in-person reader training in November.
• Reading and evaluating applications via an individual first and second reader process with participation in individual reconciliation meetings.
• Contextually review the applications of first year applicants by reviewing essays, letters of recommendation, high school transcripts, interview reports, and co-curricular participation.
• May perform other duties as assigned.

Schedule & Benefits: This part-time, temporary, position has an anticipated schedule of 10-15 hours per week November 2026 - March 2027. The weekly schedule will be determined by the supervisor. This position is considered non-exempt under wage and hour laws.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree is required.
• Must be able to write clearly and persuasively.

• Successful completion of satisfactory background checks required.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Arts Degree, preferably liberal arts.
• Knowledge of Slate CRM.
• Experience reading and evaluating applications at a highly selective college or university.
