Position Summary
The Admissions Recruiter serves as an ambassador for SCC, building relationships with students, families, schools, community organizations, and business partners throughout the region.
The Admissions Recruiter works collaboratively to increase awareness of SCC programs and services, support enrollment goals, and create positive experiences for prospective students. This position involves extensive outreach through high school visits, college fairs, campus events, community engagement activities, individual appointments, and digital communication platforms.
The ideal candidate is a strong communicator who enjoys connecting with people from diverse backgrounds, is passionate about education, and is committed to helping students achieve their goals.

Job Responsibilities
Student Recruitment & Outreach
Represent SCC at high schools, college fairs, community events, workforce events, and recruitment activities.
Build and maintain relationships with high school counselors, teachers, administrators, community organizations, employers, and other stakeholders.
Conduct presentations for students, families, and community groups regarding SCC programs, services, and opportunities.
Meet with prospective students and families to discuss educational pathways, admissions processes, and student resources.
Coordinate - plan, collaborate, organize, facilitate, - campus visits, individual appointments, information sessions, and recruitment events.
Knowledge of academic programs, transfer pathways, workforce training opportunities, and student support services as related to recruitment.
Develop and maintain ongoing communication with prospective students through phone calls, email, text messaging, social media, and virtual platforms.
Enrollment Support
Guide prospective students through the admissions process and to enrollment.
Assist students in navigating college systems, admissions dashboard and online resources.
Provide timely follow-up and support to students from inquiry through enrollment.
Maintain accurate prospect and applicant records within the colleges CRM and student information systems.
Collaborate closely with the admissions team and other departments involved in the admissions and enrollment process; Financial Aid, Foundation, Student Support, Registrar, faculty, and others to ensure a seamless student experience.
Community Engagement & Partnership Development
Identify opportunities to increase awareness of SCC programs and connect with underserved and underrepresented populations.
Strengthen partnerships with K-12 schools, businesses, community organizations, and workforce partners.
Support concurrent enrollment and dual-credit recruitment initiatives.
Engage current students and alumni in recruitment and outreach efforts.
Strategic Enrollment Initiatives
Assist in developing and implementing recruitment and enrollment strategies that support institutional goals.
Monitor recruitment activity and contribute to data collection, reporting, and assessment efforts.
Stay informed about SCC academic programs, transfer pathways, workforce training opportunities, and student support services.
Participate in professional development activities and remain current on admissions and enrollment best practices.
Additional Responsibilities
Support on-campus and off-campus enrollment events and special programs.
Participate in Student Affairs initiatives and team projects.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Physical Requirements
Frequent travel throughout the service area and occasional statewide travel.
Ability to lift and transport recruiting materials and event supplies weighing up to 50 pounds
Ability to move throughout campus facilities and event locations.

Qualifications and Experience
Successful candidates will demonstrate:
Availability to work varied hours and evenings/weekends as directed.
Supplemental Information
The Admissions Recruiter will abide by the employment contract, the bargaining agreement with SCCs Higher Education Association and relevant policies and guidelines of the Board of Trustees.
