Job Summary:
The Admissions Representative is an integral part of the admissions team, responsible for promoting Missouri Valley College and supporting prospective students through the admissions process. This position will focus on effectively managing CRM communications to enhance the overall applicant experience, with a particular emphasis on coordinating and facilitating dual credit program inquiries, providing graduate student advising, and undertaking additional duties as assigned.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as a key contact for prospective students, parents, and educational partners regarding admissions inquiries for graduate and dual credit programs.
- Provide advising and guidance to prospective graduate students on program offerings, admission requirements, and career opportunities.
- Assist with the development and implementation of recruitment strategies to attract potential students to the college.
- Guide students through the application process, ensuring they understand admission requirements and timelines.
- Review and evaluate applications for admission, providing recommendations based on established criteria.
- Coordinate and participate in outreach activities, including information sessions, college fairs, and community events.
- Collaborate with academic departments to maintain up-to-date information on program offerings and admission criteria.
- Assist in the creation and distribution of recruitment materials and communication strategies tailored to diverse audiences.
- Maintain detailed records of prospective students and admissions activities in the colleges database.
- Work closely with the Director and Assistant Director of Admissions to develop and enhance admissions procedures.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Director or Assistant Director of Admissions.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in education, marketing, communication, or a related field preferred.
- Previous experience in admissions, recruitment, or higher education is advantageous.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with student information systems preferred.
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse populations.
