Job Responsibilities
The Admissions Specialist for Continuing Education & Workforce Development is responsible for driving enrollment growth through proactive recruitment, outreach, and sales-focused engagement with prospective students and employer partners. This role serves as the point of contact for individuals seeking short-term training and workforce programs, guiding them from initial inquiry through registration.
In addition to recruitment and admissions responsibilities, the Admissions Specialist supports key administrative functions, including application processing, data entry, and customer service operations. This position requires a highly motivated, results-oriented professional with strong communication skills and a commitment to delivering an exceptional student experience.
Recruit and enroll prospective students - Proactively engage prospective students through phone, email, text, and in-person outreach; guide them through the decision-making process using consultative techniques to meet or exceed enrollment targets.
Coordinate the admissions and onboarding process - Assist students with applications, registration, and onboarding; collect and process required documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
Provide program advising and student support - Offer guidance on program requirements, schedules, funding options, and career pathways; coordinate with financial aid, workforce, and instructional staff to support student success.
Build and maintain community and employer partnerships - Develop relationships with employer partners, community organizations, and referral sources to expand program visibility and generate enrollment leads.
Maintain accurate student records and data - Enter and manage student information across CRM, registration platforms, and student information systems to ensure data integrity and compliance.
Deliver exceptional customer service - Handle incoming calls, emails, and walk-in inquiries with professionalism, providing prompt and clear responses to prospective and enrolled students.
Support administrative and program operations - Assist with scheduling, program logistics, file management, and general office functions; collaborate with the marketing team to support lead generation and recruitment campaigns.
Minimum and Additional Requirements
Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a bachelor's degree.
