Do you enjoy connecting with people and making a difference in your community? As an Adoption Counselor, youll be the friendly face that helps visitors take the exciting step of adopting a new pet. Your top priority will be creating a welcoming, positive experience for everyone who comes to the shelter looking to adopt.
Under the supervision of the Lifesaving Supervisor, youll guide potential adopters through the process-answering questions, offering advice, and helping them find the right match based on each animals needs and the adopters lifestyle. Your strong communication and customer service skills will help build trust and make each adoption a success.
Youll also play a role in showcasing adoptable pets by writing engaging bios and taking attention-grabbing photos and videos to help them stand out. Compassion, patience, and a passion for helping both people and animals are key to thriving in this role.
