Job Description

MENTOR Adult Day Health, a member of the Sevita family, provides day programs for elders with complex medical or rehabilitative needs. This allows seniors to obtain quality healthcare while remaining active and involved in the community and continuing to live in their own homes. Our programs are staffed with qualified, experienced licensed nurses and caregivers who are trained to provide individual assistance to each person we serve.


Program Assistant – Adult Day 

Russian Speaking

Location: Rainbow of Rockville Adult Day Health Center
Address: 11215 Woodglen Dr, Rockville, MD 20852
Wage: $18.00/hour
Schedule: Full-Time | 40 Hours Per Week

Weekday Hours: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:00 PM or 7:30 AM–3:30 PM
Sunday Hours: 2 Sundays per month required, 9:00 AM–2:00 PM

⚠️ Please ensure you meet all of the following requirements:

  • ️ Must be fluent in Russian.
  • Must be creative, energetic, and comfortable playing a musical instrument to lead engaging musical activities and keep participants entertained.

No evenings. No on-call shifts!

Join our Adult Day Health Program as a Program Assistant, providing care, activities, and support to individuals in a community-based setting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide assistance in the daily care of health-impaired older adults or individuals with brain injuries, intellectual/developmental disabilities, emotional or behavioral disabilities, or mental health diagnoses.
  • Provide ADL and personal care support, including diaper/brief changes, wheelchair-to-toilet transfers, and other personal care needs.
  • Assist with activities, social skills, and independence-building.
  • Ensure participant safety and well-being.

Qualifications

  • 18+ with a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • 1+ year of experience supporting individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities.
  • Current physical, annual TB test, CPR, and First Aid.
  • Knowledge of vital signs, weights, and ADLs.
  • Strong communication, reliability, and attention to detail.
