STARTING DATE: 2025 - 2026 School Year, on an as-needed basis REPORTS TO: Supervisor of Workforce Development WORK YEAR: August - May; Mon./Wed. or Tue./Thur. evenings from 4:00 - 9:00 as needed, some Saturdays SALARY RANGE: $38 per hour with opportunity to advance QUALIFICATIONS INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO: Minimum high school diploma or equivalent Ability to obtain appropriate valid Ohio teaching license/certificate (no teaching experience or degree needed) Ability to obtain Manicurist/Nail Technician Instructor or Cosmetology Instructor license from the Ohio Cosmetology and Barber Board prior to beginning teaching Minimum of 5 years documented experience in Manicuring Ability to communicate effectively in an adult education environment Dependable and flexible to various work schedules Ability to maintain a clean and organized workshop Highly motivated self-starter with excellent organizational skills Strong positive interpersonal and public relation skills Must work well in a cohesive team atmosphere Documented evidence of a clear criminal record RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO: Ability to instruct, retain and successfully complete students enrolled in the part time Nail Technician program Provide students instruction in nail services, artificial nails, polishing, hygiene and sanitation Train students in client consultation, treatments, massage, appointment management, and product sales Prepare students for Ohio Cosmetology and Barber Board Manicurist practical and written exams Work to prepare students for employment opportunities within nail salons, day spas, and beauty salons Maintain complete and accurate records as required by law, district policy and administrative regulation Actively assist in upholding and enforcing school rules, administrative regulation and Board Policy Remain free of any non-prescribed controlled substance or alcohol abuse in the workplace throughout employment Assume any other responsibilities as assigned by the Board of Education, Superintendent, Supervisor, or their designee(s) DEADLINE: Open until filled.
