    Job Summary

    Adult Basic Education Teacher for West Contra Costa Adult Education. Assists students in basic education in the subjects of reading, language arts, writing, and math through individualized or group instruction. May assist in the Computer Lab. Hours are Monday and Wednesday 6:00-9:00 pm. 3.5 hours paid per night includes 1/2 hour prep/admin time. Location is at the Helm Middle School Adult Education Center. Classes start September 8, 2026. There are back-to-school and departmental meetings prior to the start of classes.

    Requirements / Qualifications

    Provide a copy of California Credential. Provide transcripts showing evidence that a Bachelors Degree or higher was awarded. Provide current T.B. test results dated within the last year. Provide three (3) letters of reference dated within past two years.. Provide letter of introduction. Provide current resume.
