Starting Pay Range: 19.49 - 23.19
Job Summary
Under the direction of the Maintenance and Grounds Manager or district administration perform tasks for various departments. General areas include the bus garage, maintenance, custodial, lawn care, food service, and transportation. Operate a variety of power tools, buses, pick-up trucks, light vehicles, tractors, forklifts, etc. in a safe and efficient manner. Promote safety practices and procedures consistent with OSHA, PERRA, ORC, and OAC.
Qualifications
- Valid drivers license, CDL with bus passenger endorsement, and good driving record.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to make clear and comprehensive reports.
- Good health, high moral character, good attendance, clean and neat appearance.
- Able to operate a variety of machinery and hand tools, power or otherwise.
- Physically able to perform all duties listed in essential functions.
- Able to lift 75 pounds unassisted.
- At least 21 years old.
- Able to perform light plumbing, carpentry tasks, and painting (experience in these areas preferred).
- Able to perform maintenance duties related to building and ground care (experience in this area preferred).
- Able to drive trucks, plow snow, and spread salt (other).
- Able to perform all duties listed in the essential functions.
- Validation of qualifications as determined by an interview.
- Other relevant criteria as determined by the Board of Education Superintendent and/or designee may find appropriate are acceptable.
