    Position Summary
    Transform lives by being responsible for producing inquiries and applications by developing relationships and strengthening recruitment partnerships with adult prospective students, healthcare employers, community organizations, workforce partners, and service providers throughout Mid-State’s district and rural service area. In addition, this position provides healthcare career and pathway navigation assistance to help prospective students identify education and training options, navigate the enrollment process, and connect with resources that support successful entry into healthcare education and careers. The position places particular emphasis on expanding the rural healthcare workforce pipeline and supporting recruitment and outreach activities associated with the Rural Health Transformation (RHT) initiative.

    Limited-term position with an anticipated end date of October 2027.

    Duties & Responsibilities
    Establish relationships, regularly visit, engage, and recruit prospective adult students in communities, businesses, healthcare organizations, workforce agencies, and service-provider organizations with an emphasis on Mid-State healthcare programs and rural healthcare workforce needs.

    Conduct extensive outreach to inquiries including phone, email, mail, text correspondence and workshops, tours and presentations to share general college information, explain program offerings, and highlight student resources.

    Serve as a healthcare pathway navigator for prospective and entering students, helping individuals identify healthcare occupations and Mid-State educational pathways that align with their career goals, previous education, work experience, and interests.

    Identify and develop outreach opportunities within rural and semi-rural communities to increase awareness of healthcare careers and Mid-State education and training opportunities.

    Create, manage, and grow special population programming within assigned region by creating events, tools for pathway identification, and serving students to achieve their goals.

    Develop and oversee peer recruitment program (Cougar Crew) and serve as the lead point of contact for Cougar Crew student employees.

    Analyze student progress on academic plans by creating re-engagement campaigns and work with advising team to provide case management.

    Assist students in navigating the credit for prior learning process to obtain credit from work experience and/or prior educational learning.

    Manage communication and support for ELL and GED/HS students in collaboration with the advising team and Academic Learning Center throughout their first semester, ensuring a smooth transition and personalized academic support.

    Manage, organize, coordinate, and conduct college-wide and campus-specific events with schools, businesses, and service provider partners, to include college and career fairs (includes occasional evening and weekend events).

    Identify, reach out, and refer at-risk students and provide support, guidance, and referrals to other departments and services.

    Analyze CRM data to adjust communication strategies and plans specific to adult learners.

    Collaborate with Marketing and Communications Department to develop and maintain specialized recruitment materials, publications, and outreach website for general adult recruitment.

    Track recruitment activities utilizing the customer relationship management (CRM) system.  Maintain and document all interactions with prospective and enrolled students according to department procedures in the CRM.

    Support grant reporting and documentation related to healthcare recruitment and outreach activities, including quantitative and qualitative progress toward established project objectives.

    Other duties as assigned.
     

    Qualifications
    Bachelor’s degree in Communication, Marketing, Education, Healthcare Administration, Human Services, or related field required. Combination of education and occupational experience equivalent to a bachelor’s degree will be given consideration. 

    Marketing, recruitment or education experience required. 

    Knowledge of marketing techniques, student recruitment methodologies, and customer relationship management preferred.

    Experience in effective program design, planning, and implementation of a major project or activities targeting prospective students, with an emphasis on first time college students preferred.

    Must possess excellent problem resolution, independent judgement, be goal-oriented, organizational, interpersonal, communication, and project management skills.

    Must possess ability to:

    Compensation is dependent upon experience and qualifications.
