Position Summary
Talarico for Texas seeks an Advance Manager. The Advance Manager oversees the planning, coordination, and execution of campaign event logistics and advance operations. This role is responsible for leading advance staff and volunteers, managing venue preparation, coordinating with campaign departments and external partners, and ensuring every event is fully operational before candidate arrival. The Advance Manager plays a critical leadership role in delivering professional, organized, and successful campaign events in fast-paced environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate, and execute all advance operations for campaign events statewide
- Travel ahead of the candidate to prepare event locations and oversee on-site logistics
- Develop detailed event timelines, run-of-shows, briefing materials, and site plans
- Coordinate with local organizers, elected officials, community leaders, vendors, and venue staff
- Oversee setup and breakdown of campaign events, including staging, signage, audio/visual needs, and crowd flow
- Coordinate with communications and press team to ensure media readiness onsite
- Serve as the primary on-site logistics lead during campaign events and appearances
- Identify and troubleshoot operational issues quickly in high-pressure environments
- Ensure campaign branding, security protocols, and event standards are consistently maintained
Requirements
Qualifications
- 2–5+ years in political campaigns, government, public affairs, or event operations
- Familiarity with ASANA preferred but not required
- Demonstrated experience coordinating events, logistics, or candidate travel
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Experience supervising interns, volunteers, or junior staff
Physical & Travel Requirements
- Ability to lift and move campaign materials and event equipment up to 30–50 pounds
- Frequent in-state travel and occasional overnight travel required
- Ability to stand for extended periods during campaign events and advance work
Benefits

Location: Austin, Texas (statewide travel required)
Salary: $6,000-$7,000 per month
