Job Summary:
RWJBH is seeking a full-time Advanced Practice Provider for the Neurosurgery department at the New Brunswick campus
Essential Functions:
- This role includes rounding, evaluation, and providing care plans as developed with attending neurosurgeons
- There are also invasive bedside procedures as a part of this role
- You must be comfortable working to the full extent of licensure
- This is a variable role with days, nights, weekends and holiday rotations required,
Education:
- Advanced Practice Nurses must be certified in Family practice due to the pediatric population seen on this service
- Physician Assistants must be a graduate from an accredited PA program
Experience:
- An ideal candidate would have 3-5 years of inpatient or acute patient care experience in neurosurgery with a desire for acute inpatient work
- Would consider the right new graduate APP
- NP candidates must be FNP certified with acute care experience due to the pediatric population on the service
- Licenses and Certifications
- Current NJ APN PA license required
- NCCPA certification required
- CDS required
- DEA required
- RN required
- RNFA certification required for NP to work in the operating room
- BLS required
- ACLS required
- Stroke education hours
