Chief Purpose of this position: VirginiaCommonwealth University Medical Center is seeking a BC/BE Cardiologist toparticipate in a one year clinical and scholarly program.  The successful candidate will join an established group of physicians andsurgeons in one of the top Heart Centers in the United States.   We arededicated to building a preeminent program for academic discovery and arecommitted to excellent clinical care for our patients.

Position Responsibilities: TheAdvanced Imaging Scholar will train in Cardiovascular Magnetic ResonanceImaging and Advanced Echocardiography (including structural echocardiography).  The incumbent will be expected to contributeto study execution and interpretation in the magnetic resonance andechocardiography laboratories; and additional responsibilities will include activitiesin the clinic environment, and scholarly projects.

Required Qualifications:

• Board Certified/Board EligibleCardiologist
• Demonstrated skills in the areas cardiovascular medicine
• Communicate effectively andwork with a large multidisciplinary program
• Clinically oriented and possess sufficient researchand teaching experience to be eligible for academic appointment

Preferred Qualifications: 

• Interest in noninvasive cardiovascular imaging and adesire to obtain advanced training in magnetic resonance and echocardiography
