Overview
Central Maine Healthcare (CMH), a member of Prime Healthcare Foundation, is an integrated healthcare delivery system serving approximately 400,000 residents across central, western, and midcoast Maine through a network of more than 40 primary and specialty care locations. Responsibilities
The Advanced Clinical Technician functions as a critical member of the emergency care team, providing direct patient care under the supervision of an Emergency Department physician and/or Registered Nurse. This role supports rapid assessment, stabilization, and treatment of patients presenting with emergent, urgent, and non-urgent conditions. The ACT performs advanced clinical skills including IV access, medication administration, and therapeutic interventions in accordance with hospital policies, medical staff bylaws, and physician orders.
Qualifications
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING
High School Diploma or equivalent
Completion of an accredited Paramedic or EMT-Advanced (EMT-A) program
Current state licensure/certification as a Paramedic or EMT-Advanced
Current BLS (AHA) within 30 days of hire and maintain current
ACLS, PALS, PHTLS/ITLS within 6 months of hire
Maine PIFT Certification
TNCC audit within 1 year of hire
IV therapy and medication administration privileges as permitted by state
Minimum three years of recent experience as a prehospital provider required
