Advanced Composite Technician

Schedule: Monday - Friday; 11:30am - 8pm
Description of Position:
Do you have experience as a Manufacturing Technician? Our client is seeking a motivated and detail oriented Manufacturing Technicians to support the production of advanced composite materials. This role plays a critical part in creating high-performance components used in industries such as aerospace, automotive, marine, and sporting goods.
As a Manufacturing Technician, you will assist in the production, maintenance, and repair of advanced composite materials including carbon fiber, Kelvar, and fiberglass. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who enjoy hands on work, precision, and working in a team oriented manufacturing environment.
Job Responsibilities:
- Prepare and handle composite materials, including cutting, shaping, and working with fibers and resins
- Operate and maintain manufacturing equipment such as presses, ovens, and vacuum systems
- Perform composite layups and curing processes to create durable, lightweight structures
- Inspect finished parts for defects using visual and testing methods
- Track performance and safety metrics
- Collaborate with engineers, designers, and team members to meet specifications

You will be supporting a well-established company that is a prominent industry player, specializing in the production of prepreg and custom cellular core materials for the Aerospace Industry in Benicia, California.
Experience Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office
- Ability to read and use a tape measure accurately
- Proficiency in English (reading and writing)
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Willingness to learn and grow in a technical environment
Physical Requirements & Work Environment
- Ability to lift and move up to 30-40 pounds
- Frequent use of hands for handling tools and materials
- Occasional standing, walking, sitting, and reaching
- Requires close and distance vision, including focus adjustment
- Work environment has low to moderate noise levels
- Use of PPE and adherence to safety standards is required
