Job Title: Advanced Direct Support Professional
Position Summary
3M's Services LLC is seeking compassionate, dependable Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) to provide high-quality, person-centered care to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. This position requires experience supporting individuals with varying levels of physical and behavioral needs while promoting dignity, independence, and community inclusion.
Responsibilities
- Provide total care and assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, toileting, dressing, grooming, feeding, transfers, and mobility.
- Monitor and report changes in an individual's physical or mental condition.
- Accurately complete service documentation, electronic notes, and medication records (if certified).
- Support community outings, appointments, employment, and recreational activities.
- Implement Individual Support Plans (ISPs) and Behavior Support Plans.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and supportive home environment.
- Transport individuals as needed.
- Attend required trainings and maintain compliance with Medicaid and company standards.
Qualifications: To thrive in this role, you’ll need a passion for helping others and a dedication to making a difference. We’re looking for candidates who are:
- High School Diploma or GED required; additional certifications or education in social work, nursing, or related fields is a plus.
- Active CNA Certification required
- Previous experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or special needs is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of behavior management techniques and the ability to implement them effectively.
- A valid Driver's License with reliable transportation and insurance to travel to client homes or community events.
- Ability to lift and transfer individuals as needed, and work physically demanding tasks (specific lifting requirements may vary).
- Strong communication skills—both verbal and written—and the ability to connect with individuals from all walks of life.
- A compassionate, patient, and empathetic demeanor: Your heart should be as strong as your commitment to providing care.
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and maintaining confidentiality.
