Leads the Filter Products operation to achieve entitlement targets by monitoring performance, anticipating risks, and implementing proactive solutions. Utilizes in-depth knowledge of manufacturing processes, products, and equipment to guide issue resolution and continuous improvement efforts. Champions the RCA process, ensuring timely execution of corrective actions to eliminate root causes and close performance gaps
Responsibilities
Stewardship
Continuously monitors Filter Products processes, products, and equipment to identify, anticipate, and address emerging operational and process safety concerns.
Conducts routine field observations and walkthroughs to evaluate hazard recognition, housekeeping standards, Process Safety Startup Reviews (PSSR), and overall operational compliance.
Initiates process safety bypass requests when necessary and develops appropriate risk mitigation plans to ensure safe and reliable operations.
Serves as the Management of Change (MOC) system owner for the Core operation, ensuring compliance with site and corporate requirements.
Quality
Collaborates with the unit team and 24/7 operations team to identify and resolve raw material and chemical quality concerns requiring supplier engagement.
Leads and participates in investigations related to out-of-specification product, process deviations, and quality trends.
Develops strategies and communicates executable plans for managing non-conforming or rejected materials.
Monitors critical product quality parameters and implements corrective actions to maintain product specifications.
Maintains product and process specifications and ensures alignment with quality requirements.
Production & Reliability
Monitors Core operational performance, production losses, raw material efficiency, and energy consumption to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Partners with the 24/7 operations team to identify and eliminate daily execution barriers impacting performance.
Establishes, documents, and communicates operating parameters and performance expectations for the 24/7 team.
Maintains OSR/OEE performance databases and ensures accuracy of operational data and reporting.
Ensures raw materials, chemicals, and operational supplies are available to support production objectives.
Drives the effective application of Root Cause Analysis (RCA) methodologies and corrective action plans to resolve issues and prevent recurrence.
Collaborates with the Manufacturing Equipment Owner (MEO) to prioritize, plan, and communicate equipment repair and maintenance activities.
Works closely with Supply Chain to proactively address production plan risks and material availability challenges.
Communicates operational issues, production constraints, and material containment concerns to appropriate stakeholders in a timely manner.
Engagement
Collaborates with internal and external operating units to share best practices, leverage lessons learned, and address challenges that may impact Tow Operations.
Serves as a subject matter expert (SME) to the 24/7 operations team by developing tools, standard work processes, and improvement initiatives that enhance operational performance and capability.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering required.
Chemical, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering preferred.
Minimum 1 to 2 years of manufacturing experience preferred.
Relevant internship or co-op experience may be considered in lieu of direct manufacturing experience.
Strong understanding of industrial manufacturing processes, equipment, and operations.
Demonstrated problem-solving and analytical skills.
Effective communication and collaboration skills.
Ability to work cross-functionally in a team-oriented environment.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Root Cause Analysis methodologies.
Knowledge of Process Safety Management (PSM) principles.
Experience with Management of Change (MOC) processes.
Familiarity with manufacturing KPIs, reliability systems, and continuous improvement tools.
Experience working in chemical or process manufacturing environments
Pay is based on several factors which vary based on position. These include labor markets, work experience, and qualifications. The expected salary range for this Virgina position is between $93,200 and $123,600.
