Our DoD/Aerospace client is looking to fill an Advanced Engineering Technician - 3rd Shift position within their high-technology defense systems team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to support engineering activities including design, testing, fabrication, and modification of prototype electro-mechanical systems, experimental circuitry, and specialized test equipment. The position is based in Scottsdale, AZ and is fully on-site.

Location: Scottsdale, AZ (On-site)
Position: Advanced Engineering Technician - 3rd Shift
Contract Length: 12-24 months with possibility of going direct
Pay: $33.44 per hour
Education/Experience: Associate's Degree in a related field with 3+ years of relevant experience OR equivalent experience
Schedule: 3rd Shift

Clearance Requirement: Active Secret Clearance required (U.S. citizenship required)

In this role, you will use your technical and interpersonal skills to:
  • Support engineering activities including design, test, checkout, modification, fabrication, and assembly of prototype systems.
  • Work with electro-mechanical systems, experimental circuitry, laser/light transmission devices, and specialized test equipment.
  • Interpret engineering drawings, diagrams, and schematics.
  • Construct, modify, debug, troubleshoot, calibrate, test, and adjust tools, equipment, and systems.
  • Conduct, analyze, and document statistically based experiments to define process parameters.
  • Implement and document solutions for process improvement.
  • Design and construct basic tooling and fixtures for specialized tasks.
  • Analyze and interpret data to identify root causes and recommend improvements.

  • Solid knowledge and proficiency in fabrication tools and techniques.
  • Ability to fabricate complex hardware systems.
  • Strong understanding of technical principles and engineering fundamentals.
