Location: McLeansville, NC
Pay Rate: $27–$30/hour
The Advanced Engineering Technician supports engineering and operations teams in the design, fabrication, testing, modification, and assembly of prototype electro-mechanical systems and specialized test equipment. This role plays a hands-on part in developing and improving mission-critical hardware and experimental systems.
Interpret engineering drawings, diagrams, and schematics
Construct, modify, debug, troubleshoot, calibrate, test, and adjust tools, equipment, and systems
Conduct and document statistically based experiments to define process parameters
Implement and document process improvements
Design and construct tooling and fixtures for unique tasks
Analyze and interpret data to identify cause/effect relationships and recommend solutions
Proficiency with fabrication tools and complex hardware assembly
Strong understanding of technical theory and mechanical principles
Advanced machining experience (manual and CNC equipment)
HAAS mills (including 4th and 5th axis)
Lathes
Proficiency with SolidWorks or other CAM software
Experience using GD&T
Skilled in precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, etc.)
Ability to communicate effectively with engineering teams
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
Associate’s degree in a related discipline or equivalent experience
Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience
Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.
