Mercy Medical Group (https://www.dignityhealth.org/dhmf/about/network/mercy-medical-group) is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Heart Failure Cardiologist to join our busy practice. The ideal candidate will have experience managing patients with advanced heart failure and cardiomyopathy and can work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.

This position will provide cardiology expertise for advanced heart failure therapy programs including the existing Left Ventricular Assist Device Program (LVAD) which is Destination Therapy- LVAD Certified by the Joint Commission. The LVAD program is located at Mercy General Hospital, which is among California's largest cardiac surgery programs, has the largest electrophysiology program on the West Coast, and has a robust interventional cardiology program.


Qualifications


+ MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school

+ Board certification or Board Eligible in Cardiovascular Disease and Heart Failure

+ Valid California medical license

+ Fellowship training in Heart Failure or Advanced Heart Failure and Transplant Cardiology

+ Demonstrated competence in providing care to patients with advanced heart failure and cardiomyopathy

+ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

+ Direct experience in programmatic development is preferable
