Advanced Level Engineering Process Technician – 18‑Month Contract to HireLocation: Santa Clara, California. Pay Rate: $40 to $46 per hour. Shifts Available: 8‑hour day shift, 8am to 5pm.Top SkillsSolid interpersonal skillsStrong analytical skillsAbility to quickly adapt to changeResponsibilitiesPrepare wafers for experimentation, including cleaning and reactor preparation.Operate reactors to perform thin film processes, evaluate system performance, and recommend troubleshooting to engineering.Prepare cross‑section samples for SEM analysis; optimize sample prep procedures and conditions; identify cut location based on pattern instructions.Record process conditions and experimental observations; evaluate wafers and thin films, optimizing process recipes.Prepare graphs and tables summarizing results; analyze data; operate SEM for cross‑section, top‑view, and EDS analysis; identify patterns and manage beam/sample interaction for optimal imaging.Understand basic SEM principles and be responsible for technology products.Perform SEM software alignment and routine maintenance (flash, plasma clean); interface with requestors and communicate results.Check performance of process systems and make processes compliant with Best Known Method; coordinate wafer evaluations and instrument repair/maintenance.Execute routine shutdown procedures and set up equipment for experiments.Use quantitative wafer evaluation and process instrumentation knowledge to draw conclusions from data; assist in training junior technicians.Develop and publish best known method (BKM) procedures; coordinate lab activities and priority setting across shifts.Ensure team synergy; conduct SEM lab Self Safety Inspection (SSI).Coordinate lab accessory tool maintenance.Physical & Work Environment RequirementsExtensive walking, standing, working in tight spaces, bending, squatting, twisting, kneeling, reaching, climbing stairs/ladders, and working at height.Lifting up to 35 lbs.Need to distinguish colors, work with electricity, tolerate noise, and use hand and power tools.Work in a cleanroom requiring appropriate PPE: coveralls, hoods, booties, safety glasses, gloves, respirators, chemical aprons, and face shields.Preferred QualificationsEducation: Technical Diploma, Skills Certifications.Years of Experience: 4‑6 years of work experience.BenefitsMedical, Dental & Vision Benefits.401K Retirement Savings Plan.Life & Disability Insurance.Direct Deposit & weekly e‑payroll.Employee Discount Programs.Referral Bonus Programs.Estimated Minimum Rate: $32.20; Estimated Maximum Rate: $46.00.Equal Opportunity EmployerYoh, a Day & Zimmermann company, is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
