Job Summary

This position involves the advanced operation of a computer-based laser machining work center. The primary responsibility is to laser process components following minimal instructions, which may be provided in the form of drawings, written, or verbal directions. The employee will become familiar with procedural concepts under general supervision and may be required to provide guidance to newly hired or junior employees. This role emphasizes teamwork and requires the ability to effectively collaborate in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform medium to high complexity tasks related to customer-specific process requirements, with the ability to comprehend documentation requirements.
• Verify system conditions or equipment status before operation and adjust system settings within established guidelines as necessary.
• Inspect components to ensure they meet specifications.
• Enter data and report issues as required.
• Take responsibility for all required process documentation as directed.
• Train other employees on production processes or equipment usage as requested by the Supervisor.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area.
• Follow instructions from the Supervisor and/or Production Manager and conduct all work according to company policy and safe labor practices.
• Use laser radiation (non-ionizing) sources safely, considering the various wavelengths of laser light utilized.
• Maintain a professional demeanor and uphold a high standard of conduct and job performance.

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Minimum of three years of experience in a comparable manufacturing environment, preferably utilizing computer-aided machinery, or equivalent experience demonstrating the ability to follow detailed technical processes using mechanical equipment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with automated inspection equipment.
• Familiarity with ISO Quality Systems, particularly in medical device manufacturing.
• Proficiency in using optical inspection equipment, such as magnifiers, microscopes, or equipment for measuring capacity.
