Our client is a premier manufacturer of high-end custom aluminum windows and doors, specializing in engineer-to-order (ETO) and order-to-build (OTB) solutions. Our dynamic production environment demands a creative and strategic leader who can optimize efficiency while accommodating the unique challenges of custom-engineered projects.
They are seeking an Adaptive Production Manager with a strong background in fenestration manufacturing and milling techniques to lead our multi-shift production operations. This role is ideal for a hands-on, results-driven leader who thrives in a high-variation manufacturing environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Lead and manage a team of 20+ employees in the manufacturing of luxury window and door systems.
  • Oversee engineer to-order (ETO) and order-to-build (OTB) manufacturing processes, ensuring smooth operations despite product variations.
  • Maintain on time delivery and quality targets while optimizing production schedules for high-rate output.
  • Establish strong safety practices, ensuring an injury free workplace and maintaining compliance with OSHA regulations.
  • Capacity planning of equipment, tooling, and personnel to ensure production efficiency.
  • Analyze shop drawings and work instructions, making recommendations for manufacturability improvements including outsourced manufacturing processes.
  • Apply lean manufacturing principles, efficiency methods, and Six Sigma tools to enhance workflow and reduce waste.
  • Identify and implement automation opportunities where applicable to improve labor efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with AAMA and NFRC procedures and certifications.
  • Maintain facility, tools, and machines in an orderly and optimized state, ensuring preventive maintenance and upgrades.
  • Use quality metrics and root cause analysis to drive continuous improvement in product quality.
  • Implement corrective actions to address quality issues and enhance process reliability.
  • Drive cost reduction efforts by improving labor efficiency, optimizing material use, and enhancing design for manufacturability.
  • Monitor labor hours, overtime, and staffing levels, implementing improvement plans as needed.
  • Assess, hire, and develop a skilled production workforce, ensuring the right expertise is in place.Work closely with engineering, R&D, and supply chain teams to resolve production challenges and refine processes.
  • Identify training gaps and collaborate with manufacturing engineering to enhance onboarding and advanced training programs.
  • Foster a collaborative culture, ensuring effective communication between production technicians, engineers, and senior leadership.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Must reside within a commutable distance to Paramount, CA.
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing, or related).
  • Minimum of 7 years in production or operations management, preferably in fenestration or custom engineered manufacturing.
  • Hands-on experience with CNC machining, milling techniques, and aluminum fabrication.
  • Expertise in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and process improvement methodologies.
  • Strong understanding of custom fabrication, production scheduling, and resource planning.
  • Experience with ERP/MRP systems (NetSuite preferred).
  • Demonstrated ability to read, interpret, and follow blueprints, shop drawings, and mechanical plans
  • Experienced in fenestration production.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
  • Proven success in leading teams in a high mix, low-volume manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and optimize machining, fabrication, and assembly processes.
  • Strong problem-solving mindset with the ability to adapt to evolving production demands.
  • Effective communication and collaboration across all levels of an organization, from shop floor workers to executives.
  • Experience in luxury fenestration and door systems production preferred.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred to effectively communicate with diverse production teams.
  • Experience in bringing teams and processes from development to production is desirable.
  • Able to adapt to changing work assignments and fast-paced work environment.
  • Excellent concentration and attention to detail with outstanding work efficiency and accuracy.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Must be willing to work extended hours and weekends as needed.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred to effectively communicate with diverse production teams.
  • Must be able to lift a minimum of 25 lbs. unassisted.
  • Able to travel for short and extended trips as needed. Up to 10% of travel.
