Advanced Manufacturing Teacher (Grades 9-12)
We are seeking a dynamic and innovative Advanced Manufacturing Teacher to prepare high school students for careers in modern manufacturing, engineering, and industrial technology. The ideal candidate will create engaging, hands-on learning experiences that develop technical skills, critical thinking, teamwork, and problem-solving abilities while building strong partnerships with local businesses and industry leaders.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver instruction in advanced manufacturing concepts, processes, and technologies for students in grades 9-12.
- Create project-based learning experiences that promote collaboration, creativity, and real-world problem solving.
- Foster a positive classroom environment focused on teamwork, leadership, communication, and career readiness.
- Build and maintain strong community partnerships with local businesses, manufacturers, workforce development organizations, and postsecondary institutions.
- Coordinate industry engagement opportunities, including internships, guest speakers, job shadowing, apprenticeships, and plant tours.
- Collaborate with fellow teachers and school staff to strengthen interdisciplinary learning and student success initiatives.
- Utilize industry-standard equipment, software, and safety procedures in classroom and lab settings.
- Monitor student progress and provide timely feedback to support academic and technical skill development.
- Participate in professional development related to manufacturing technologies, workforce trends, and instructional best practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Career and Technical Education, Manufacturing, Engineering, Industrial Technology, or a related field preferred.
- Valid teaching license or eligibility for licensure in Career and Technical Education preferred.
- Industry experience in manufacturing, engineering, automation, machining, robotics, or related fields is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated ability to build collaborative relationships with community and business partners.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to promote teacher team building and collaborative problem-solving strategies in the classroom.
- Commitment to preparing students for college, careers, and workforce success.
