    Job Description

    The Advanced Practice Provider of Occupational Health is responsible for performing pre-employment physical examinations for St. Joseph's employees, client employers, work related injuries, Fitness for Duty assessments and works in direct collaboration with the Occupational Health and Wellness Medical Director. This role ensures compliance with federal, state, and local regulations while promoting a safe and healthy work environment for all hospital employees and client employers. The Advanced Practice Provider provides clinical care and evaluation for patient populations for Occupational Health and Wellness and provides leadership for work with interdisciplinary internal business partners and clients. Responsible for enacting standards of practice and standards of professional performance, consistently demonstrates the core competencies of Advanced Practice Nursing as well as defined specialty competencies.

    Schedule is Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM. No nights, no holidays, no call.

    The right candidate understands outpatient services and prevention of work-related injury and illness. Can identify acute injury and illness as a cause and effect from work.

    St. Joseph's University Medical Center is an academic tertiary care medical center and state designated trauma center, located on the Paterson campus, regularly accepts referrals of difficult or unusual cases from other hospitals and physicians and performs both complex and routine procedures.

    The Medical Center offers a full complement of specialty and subspecialty services including ambulatory, behavioral health, cardiovascular, emergency/trauma, internal medicine, neuroscience, oncology, orthopedic/spine, rehabilitation, surgical specialty, women's health, imaging and pediatrics.
