    Our client is a fast-growing consumer products organization investing heavily in the next generation of device-enabled home and personal experience products. This is a high-impact opportunity for an engineer who wants to shape innovative hardware from early concept through commercialization, while working across packaging, mechanical design, validation, and supplier collaboration. The right person will thrive in a hands‑on environment where creative problem solving, product ownership, and cross‑functional influence are highly valued.The Mechanical Engineer Consumer Products will play a central role in developing device‑oriented consumer products and the packaging systems that support them. This individual will work across concept creation, design refinement, prototyping, testing, manufacturability, and supplier coordination. Success in this role requires a strong mechanical engineering foundation, experience with regulated or technically complex consumer products, and the ability to move programs forward in a fast‑paced onsite setting.This Role Offers Competitive base salary with bonus opportunityOffered relocation supportExposure to a growing pipeline of consumer device innovationHigh‑visibility role with meaningful ownership across development and launchCollaborative, onsite environment with close partnership across engineering, operations, and suppliersFocus Lead mechanical development for consumer products from concept through launch readinessDesign product and packaging solutions for heat‑based, battery‑powered, and plug‑in formats with safety, durability, and user experience in mindBuild and refine CAD models, prototypes, and test fixtures to evaluate form, fit, and functionPartner with suppliers and manufacturing teams to improve tooling, assembly methods, and production readinessDefine verification plans covering shipping durability, thermal behavior, liquid compatibility, and compliance needsTranslate product goals, industrial design direction, and technical requirements into manufacturable solutionsAssess materials, components, and external partner capabilities to improve quality, reduce risk, and manage costSupport pilot builds, line trials, and root‑cause investigations tied to product or packaging performanceDocument specifications, tolerances, and validation results to support scale‑up and executionIdentify practical opportunities to improve efficiency across materials, packaging, logistics, and device constructionSkill Set Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, packaging engineering, or a related technical discipline5 or more years of experience in mechanical engineering, packaging engineering, or product development for consumer productsHands‑on experience with CAD tools, ideally SolidWorks, along with prototyping and design iterationBackground with battery‑powered, heated, plug‑in, liquid‑handling, or otherwise regulated product categoriesWorking knowledge of test methods, design validation, and applicable quality or compliance standardsAbility to manage multiple projects and communicate effectively across engineering, operations, sourcing, and supplier teamsStrong judgment in root‑cause analysis, risk reduction, and design‑for‑manufacture decisionsClear written and verbal communication skills, along with a collaborative and organized work stylePreferred Background Experience supporting consumer devices or adjacent electromechanical productsExposure to supplier qualification, pilot production, and scale‑up environmentsFamiliarity with products involving liquids, heat, hazardous components, or transportation challengesExperience operating successfully in a highly cross‑functional, onsite development setting#J-18808-Ljbffr
