Position Overview As a Process Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing and optimizing manufacturing processes for display and semiconductor manufacturing technologies. Your duties will include collecting and analyzing data, performing hardware characterization, troubleshooting engineering issues, measuring film properties, generating technical documentation, and engaging with customers to resolve concerns.Process Engineers collaborate with vendors and suppliers, and become familiar with implementing new technologies and products. You will experiment, learn, and collaborate with some of the brightest minds in the semiconductor and display industries, partnering with our globally recognized R&D teams on state‑of‑the‑art research and development projects.Responsibilities Start up and qualify new equipmentDevelop new processes and transfer to pilot productionEstablish metrology protocolUtilize statistical tools and software to analyze data and identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for process optimizationPrepare detailed reports and presentations summarizing findings and recommendationsSupport the development and implementation of process improvements based on experimental resultsMaintain accurate documentation of experiments, methodologies, and resultsQualifications BS or MS Degree in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related fieldStrong analytical skills and proficiency in data analysisExperience in back end of the line semiconductor or PCB device fabricationExcellent communication and teamwork skillsAbility to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectivelyAttention to detail and a proactive approach to problem‑solvingPreferred Qualifications Experience in Cu electroplating processesExperience with electronic packaging fabrication and characterization techniquesPrevious hands‑on experience with tool operation and process development in PCB or semiconductor industryAdditional Information Salary: $124,000.00 – $171,000.00Location: Santa Clara, CATime Type: Full timeEmployee Type: Assignee / RegularTravel: Yes, 10% of the TimeRelocation Eligible: YesEqual Opportunity Statement Applied Materials is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
