Advanced Patient Care Technician (APCT) – Emergency Room (Full -Time)

The Staff Pad has partnered with a reputed hospital in Las Vegas, New Mexico, to hire a full -time Advanced Patient Care Technician (APCT) for the Emergency Department. <\/span>
<\/p>

The APCT supports physicians and nursing staff in providing efficient, compassionate care to patients in the Emergency Room by assisting with patient monitoring, procedures, documentation, and team -based care to ensure safe, timely, and compassionate treatment.<\/span>

What You’ll Do<\/span>
<\/p>

Key Responsibilities:<\/span>
<\/p>

• Greet, assess, and assist patients with immediate care needs in the ER<\/span>
  <\/li>
• Accurately document patient conditions, treatments, and interactions while maintaining confidentiality<\/span>
  <\/li>
• Collaborate with nurses, physicians, and care teams to deliver timely, safe, and effective care<\/span>
  <\/li>
• Perform clinical duties within scope of practice, including:<\/span>
  <\/li>
  • Vital signs monitoring<\/span>
    <\/li>
  • Point -of -care testing<\/span>
    <\/li>
  • Phlebotomy<\/span>
    <\/li>
  • EKGs<\/span>
    <\/li>
  • Assisting with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs)<\/span>
    <\/li><\/ul>
  • Support emergency interventions and patient management as needed<\/span>
    <\/li>
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked clinical environment<\/span>
    <\/li>
  • Provide one -on -one observation for high -risk patients, including those at risk of self -harm<\/span>
    <\/li>
  • Assist with unit operations including answering phones, coordinating transfers, and general support duties<\/span>

    What We Are Looking For<\/span>
    <\/p>

    Requirements:<\/span>
    <\/p>

    • High school diploma or GED required<\/span>
      <\/li>
    • Completion of an accredited EMT program<\/span>
      <\/li>
    • Current state certification or licensure required<\/span>
      <\/li>
    • BLS required; ACLS and PALS required within 90 days of hire<\/span>
      <\/li>
    • Ability to work full -time (36 hours/week) with 12 -hour shifts (days or nights)<\/span>
      <\/li>
    • Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and rotating schedules<\/span>
      <\/li><\/ul>

      Preferred Qualifications:<\/span>
      <\/p>

      • 1+ year of direct clinical experience in a healthcare setting<\/span>
        <\/li>
      • Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills in a fast -paced environment<\/span>
        <\/li>
      • Experience with EMR systems and basic computer proficiency<\/span>
        <\/li>
      • Commitment to infection control and patient safety standards<\/span>
        <\/li>
      • Physical ability to bend, stoop, and lift up to 35 lbs using proper body mechanics<\/span>
