    Advanced Practice Clinical Liaison Main Campus, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, United States Schools and Colleges Regular Full-Time Staff Opening at: Apr 17 2026 - 09:00 CDT Add to favorites View favorites VP Area: Nursing School Department: Nursing School FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Benefit Eligibility: Yes Position Summary: The Advanced Practice Clinical Liaison facilitates partnerships with healthcare organizations and community agencies to develop clinical site opportunities to support the education of students in the Kramer School of Nursing Advanced Practice Programs. The Liaison is responsible for identifying, recruiting, and maintaining clinical placement opportunities for students in support of established curriculum, success measures, and compliance requirements. The Liaison serves as the primary point of contact for students, faculty, and external entities throughout the placement acquisition and assignment process. The Liaison reports directly to the Operations Manager and works closely with other staff and faculty within the Kramer School of Nursing. Minimum Qualifications: A minimum of two years' direct experience in coordinating clinical placement or three years' experience in health care management, health care delivery, and/or higher education administrative coordination. A bachelor's degree is required. Preferred areas of study include nursing, healthcare administration, marketing and/or communications or another related field. A suitable combination of education and experience may be substituted for the minimum qualifications. Job Duties: Demonstrate an attitude and behaviors that reflect the mission and values of the university and the Kramer School of Nursing. Identify, establish, and maintain relationships with clinical sites and preceptors: Identify new clinical site/affiliation agreements designed to support high-quality student learning experiences Develop and maintain positive relationships with clinical sites and agencies Identify, recruit, and retain qualified preceptors Visit and evaluate potential preceptors/facilities for course-appropriate experiences Ensure preceptors receive adequate orientation and mentoring to successfully serve the program Ensure compliance requirements for clinical site, preceptor and other healthcare partner relationships: Work with the Graduate Specialist to maintain clinical site affiliation agreements & required compliance paperwork Work with the Graduate Specialist to ensure clinical agency affiliation agreements are up to date and comply with accreditation body and Oklahoma Board of Nursing regulations Coordinate with clinical placement staff to ensure students remain in compliance with healthcare partners' clinical requirements through the duration of the program Coordinate administrative activities associated with clinical placement of students: Maintain required records and files Develop and implement records management practices to ensure compliance and efficiencies Generate reports regarding placement activities as requested Manage information platforms, including website, publications, informational materials, etc Serve as the primary staff touchstone for graduate students throughout the clinical placement process: Advise students of clinical assignment, clinical faculty, preceptor, and oversight faculty information Work with students to achieve placements resulting in a positive learning experience Manage student communication regarding clinical assignments, site requirements, and clinical requirements Serve as the liaison between students and clinical sites; communicate all site-specific requirements to students Troubleshot placement and scheduling issues as they arise Seek student input into potential clinical partnerships and experiences Coordinate clinical placement staff to ensure students remain in compliance with healthcare partners' clinical requirements through the duration of the program. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Effective written and oral communication skills Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to establish a rapport with members of the healthcare/medical community; strength in developing and maintaining professional relationships Ability to quickly develop an in-depth understanding of the APRN program to accurately reflect and promote the programs to students, preceptors, university constituents, and agencies Highly organized and detail-oriented Proficient computer skills, including but not limited to Microsoft Office Suite, and willingness to become adept in new university software packages and procedures. Ability to reach out to appropriate sources to get the resources or find information needed to be successful. Ability to work independently with a high level of initiative Ability to work effectively as a team member in a fast-paced environment Ability to maintain confidentiality Physical Demands and Working Conditions: Work is primarily indoors but requires the incumbent to be in an outdoor environment when traveling between campus buildings or off campus. Standard office hours are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. Some off-campus, state and regional travel may be required. Attendance at some evening and weekend events may be required. * Incumbent will be exposed to frequent noise caused by telephones and office machines.
