Your Key Responsibilities
  • Conducting thorough assessments of patients, ordering essential diagnostic tests, and crafting personalized treatment strategies
  • Diagnosing and managing both acute and chronic conditions alongside physicians or independently according to your credentials
  • Empowering patients and their families through education on wellness, disease prevention, and effective management strategies

Educational Prerequisites
  • Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
  • Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner training program
Necessary Credentials
  • Active Nurse Practitioner license in Virginia
  • National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP, or ANCC) or an equivalent specialty credential
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications or the ability to obtain within a designated timeframe
