The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) will join a collaborative team where advanced practice providers are integrated into every aspect of patient care across outpatient and surgical settings.
The primary function of the Advanced Practice Provider is to assist supervising physicians in providing direct diagnostic and therapeutic patient care. Demonstrate care that is effective, patient-centered, timely, efficient, and equitable for the treatment of health problems and the promotion of wellness. Counsel and educate patients and their families about disease and illness. This PA position will function in the outpatient clinic setting as well as the operating room. The primary work location is MD Anderson's Texas Medical Center campus, with occasional travel to other Houston-area locations as needed.
The ideal candidate will have preferred experience as an Advanced Practice Provider in Urology, including at least two years of APP experience. Candidates should be committed to delivering patient-centered care, collaborating within multidisciplinary teams, and supporting both outpatient and surgical patient populations. New graduate applications will also be considered.

Salary: Minimum $117,500.00 - Midpoint $146,500.00 - Maximum $176,500.00
The typical work schedule is Monday-Friday, with opportunities to moonlight on weekends.

Licensure/Certification
REQUIRED: Written authorization from the Texas Board of Nursing (BON) or Texas State Board of Physician Assistant Examiners (TSBPAE) to function as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse or Physician Assistant. Related authorization must be consistent with clinical practice area and patient population. Basic Life Support (BLS) or Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification. MAY BE REQUIRED: Eligible to be granted limited prescriptive authority by the State of Texas.
PREFERRED: American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS), ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) or PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification as required by patient care area.
