260000T4 JOB SUMMARY - Outpatient Palliative Care

The Advanced Practice Provider APP delivers comprehensive outpatient palliative care services to individuals and families with serious chronic or life-limiting illnesses. Care is focused on symptom management, quality of life, goals-of-care discussions, and psychosocial support across the disease trajectory. The APP practices both autonomously and collaboratively within their established scope, partnering closely with physicians and interdisciplinary team members. All team members are responsible for performing job duties in accordance with the mission, vision, and values of Tampa General Hospital.

RESPONSIBILITIES - Outpatient Palliative Care

• Deliver comprehensive outpatient palliative care services to individuals and families with serious chronic or life-limiting illnesses. • Focus on symptom management, quality of life, goals-of-care discussions, and psychosocial support across the disease trajectory. • Practice autonomously and collaboratively within established scope, partnering with physicians and interdisciplinary team members. • Perform job duties in accordance with the mission, vision, and values of Tampa General Hospital.

TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE SKILLS & ABILITIES

Current licensure as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse or Physician Assistant in the State of Florida National certification required for APRNs and PAs Experience in palliative care, hospice, oncology, geriatrics, or complex chronic disease management strongly preferred Strong interest in serious illness care and interdisciplinary collaboration New graduates with strong interest in palliative care may be considered, including participation in structured transition-to-practice or fellowship opportunities.
