Job Summary and Responsibilities
As a General Cardiology Advanced Practice Provider you will join our dynamic, award winning Cardiovascular Team at St. Michael Medical Center located in Silverdale, WA. We are recognized for exceptional patient care and outcomes throughout the Puget Sound area. You will provide compassionate and expert care, conducting thorough assessments, developing individualized treatment plans, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to support the holistic well-being of patients and their families.
To be successful in this role, you will be a skilled and compassionate Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant-C, possessing expertise in your specialty with strong communication skills. You will demonstrate a deep commitment to patient-centered, evidence based care and the capacity to thrive within a collegial and supportive environment.
Our service cares for complex, high-acuity cardiac patients requiring a full spectrum of cardiovascular expertise. You will work alongside a team that includes:
- 14 total Cardiologists and 13 Advanced Practice Providers
- 4 Interventional Cardiologists and a dedicated Structural Cardiologist
- 3 Electrophysiologists
- Advanced Cardiac Imager specializing in Cardiac MRI and Cardiac CT
- Robust Structural Heart Program: TAVR and Left Atrial Appendage Occlusion (LAAO)
- 2 Cardiothoracic Surgeons, 4 Cardiac Anesthesiologists, 3 Vascular Surgeons, and Thoracic Surgery
- Virginia Mason Franciscan Cardiovascular Fellowship Program

Opportunity Highlights:
- Center for Cardiovascular Health: The Center for Cardiovascular Health at Virginia Mason Franciscan Health (VMFH) encompasses over 150 providers, including interventional cardiologists, electrophysiologists, advanced heart failure specialists, cardiac imaging specialists, vascular surgeons, thoracic surgeons, cardiac surgeons and anesthesiologists, among other specialists. Our programs have achieved significant recognition within the region and nationally for our quality and outcomes. We are a high volume program performing over 1100 open heart surgeries, 2400 PCIs and 2000 ablations annually. We provide care for over 200,000 patients in our cardiology clinics annually and provide inpatient services for our healthcare system that includes over 1500 beds and 11 hospitals in the Greater Seattle Area.
- Position Details:This is a hybrid clinic and inpatient position. Approximately 50% of the time is spent in the outpatient clinic working independently, and 50% supporting inpatient rounding alongside the attending cardiologist. The APP sees a general cardiology patient panel and functions as an integral part of the care team across both settings.
- Schedule: Monday - Friday. Four day work week.
- Call: APPs participate in weekend call on a rotating basis, approximately every 6th weekend. No overnight call obligation.

Job Requirements
Required
- ARNPs: Active Washington State Registered Nurse License AND an Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner License or ability to obtain.
- PA-C: Certification as a Physician Assistant with prescriptive authority in the State of Washington or ability to obtain.
- Ability to obtain a DEA with full prescriptive authority required for the specific practice
- BLS
- Ability to maintain positive working relationships with physicians, and hospital staff, patients and their families
- Excellent communication skills and professionalism
- Strong commitment to patient care team concept and privacy guidelines
Preferred
- 2+ years cardiovascular advanced practice provider work experience
- ACLS
