Position Summary
The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) delivers high-quality dermatologic care under the supervision of a board-certified dermatologist. This role includes evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of medical and cosmetic skin conditions, performing dermatologic procedures, and contributing to patient education and continuity of care.

Key Responsibilities
Clinical Care
- Perform comprehensive skin evaluations, including full-body skin exams
- Diagnose and manage common dermatologic conditions (e.g., acne, eczema, psoriasis, rosacea)
- Identify and manage suspicious lesions, including skin cancer detection
- Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with supervising physician
Procedures
- Perform biopsies (shave, punch, excisional)
- Assist with or independently perform minor surgical procedures (depending on experience and state regulations)
Patient Education
- Counsel patients on treatment plans, skincare, and preventive measures
- Educate on sun protection and skin cancer awareness
Documentation & Compliance
- Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical records (EMR)
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA and clinical protocols
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives
- Collaboration
- Work closely with dermatologists, medical assistants, and administrative staff
- Participate in case discussions and team meetings
Qualifications
Required
- Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) program
- Active state license and national certification
- 2-4 years of APP experience
- DEA license (or ability to obtain)
- Strong clinical assessment and procedural skills
Preferred
- Experience with dermatologic procedures
- Familiarity with dermatology EMR systems

Work Environment
- Outpatient dermatology clinic setting

- Standard clinic hours with potential for extended hours depending on patient demand
