UT Hospitalists are seeking an experienced Advanced Practice Provider with excellent clinical skills, wants to join a successful team, providing safe, high-quality care in an Academic Medical Center. The APP would be responsible for a myriad of roles including, but not limited to, providing overnight cross cover, managing acute issues overnight, performing consultations, and assisting with admissions.
In this role you will work overnight with a team of physicians and APPs to:
Examine, evaluate, and treat patients with serious medical conditions, illnesses, or injuries.
Take patient histories, conduct physical exams, and record in patient's medical record.
Provide cross cover overnight to address urgent or emergent issues that arise for any patient on the Hospitalist service.
Schedule: 7P-7A, 7on/7 off (please know schedule and shifts are subject to change based on patient care and departmental/organizational needs).
Required skills/abilities.
Fifth year college or university program certificate; or two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Tennessee Registered Nurse licensure; national certification as Nurse Practitioner.

National Certification as a Physicians' Assistant
Hospital Medicine experience preferred. If new graduate APP, prefer previous ICU, ED, or cardiac stepdown experience.
